From 21 July to 27 July
Val Thorens will host a stage of the Tour de France and 15,000 amateur cyclists along with it on Sunday the 21st of July, as well as the Tour de France 2019’s penultimate stage on Saturday the 27th of July!
24 years after the final stage was last held in Val Thorens, won by Colombian Nelson Rodriguez, the Tour de France is returning to the foot of Le Péclet! The 4-star world resort is proud to welcome the penultimate leg before the final in Paris, a crucial section in which everything can change.
Setting off from Albertville (at an altitude of 352 metres), this legendary stage of 4,000 metres cumulative elevation gain will cross through Le Beaufortain, the Cornet de Roselend, and then Moûtiers. The racers will then attack the 34 kilometres to Val Thorens.
On the programme: the climb to the Belleville valley via the spectacular Saint-Laurent-de-la-Côte road, passing through Saint-Martin-de-Belleville, and then Les Menuires to finish at an altitude of 2,365 metres in Val Thorens.
