That’s it, you’re ready to hit the slopes so how about making a souvenir of your feats? Here are a few tips to help you to create 5-star content with a GoPro:
N°1 – Set off with a goal in mind! Plan what it is you want to shoot, have a clear idea of what you want before you leave. That’s half the work done already!
N°2 – Experiment with new angles, change where you position the GoPro, play around! The more varied your shots, the more likely you are to make original, immersive content.
N°3 – Wear colourful clothing that contrasts with the environment you’re shooting against.
N°4 – Choose times of day when the sun is low in the sky to avoid harsh light and shadows. Essentially, mornings and the end of the day are the best times to shoot.
N°5 – Tell a story, try to evoke some kind of emotion. To achieve that, show the context you’re in, the people, the environment, etc. You’re telling your story.
N°6 – Want to go hands-free during the action? Use GoPro voice commands! Select your language in the settings and use the following phrases:
● GoPro Start recording
● GoPro Stop recording
● GoPro Take a photo
● GoPro Shoot burst
● GoPro Start time lapse
● GoPro Stop time lapse
● GoPro Video mode
● GoPro Photo mode
● GoPro Time lapse mode
● GoPro Burst mode
● GoPro Turn off
N° 7 – Remember to wipe the GoPro lens with a cloth before taking shots, a bit of snow could hide your beautiful smile :-).
N°8 – To edit your shots, use the GoPro Quick app: it automatically finds your best moves and cuts them together for you!
Here are a few examples to give you some ideas. Now, it’s over to you!
