With nine World Rally Champion titles under his belt, Sébastien Loeb took on a new challenge in 2014 when he signed up to the World Touring Car Championship with Citroën Racing. Always keen to get behind the wheel, the driver from Alsace took advantage of the inter-season to make an appearance…..on ice! He will be taking part in the first round of the Andros Trophy in the driver’s seat of a DS3, provided by the Saintéloc Racing team.
From WRC to WTCC, not forgetting the Pikes Peak race and the X-Games rallycross event, Sébastien Loeb has a true competitive spirit and is all set to notch up another competition entry in just a few weeks. On the 6th and 7th December, after competing in the Var Rally with his wife Séverine the weekend before, he will be taking part in the opening round of the Andros Trophy 2014-2015, in Val Thorens. Sébastien will be driving a DS3 branded by Saintéloc Racing, who have already won four titles in recent seasons.
«I often do extra events here and there, in addition to my main racing programme, but 2014 was so busy I haven’t really had a chance to. Before I embark on a busy 2015 season, I jumped at the chance to be able to come and discover the Andros Trophy» explains Sebastien Loeb. «I like all styles of driving and I enjoy racing in new environments, which the Andros Trophy is for me, even if I did have a little go a few years ago. It’s a very specific type of event, with crucial qualifying rounds, group races where you go neck and neck… on ice. It will be interesting to take part. I know there’s a friendly atmosphere so we’ll have a good time and I’ll be in good hands with Saintéloc Racing; they know the Andros Trophy inside and out.»
We’re counting on your support to cheer on this talented driver on Val Thorens’ ice circuit!
