Do you want to share videos and photos of your best runs, make your friends gasp at breath-taking landscapes or even check your email or diary (surely NOT on holiday!!)?
Val Thorens has provided skiers and holidaymakers with Wi-Fi access for the last three years thanks to Aerohive Wi-Fi terminals. They're practical, easy-to-use and free-of-charge ;-)
Val Thorens is the most international French resort, welcoming 70% of its clientele from abroad. What better way to bring a smile to their faces than by putting a stop to nasty surprises on their mobile bills? This service enables us to keep our hyper-connected clientele, most of whom have smartphones, satisfied. Val Thorens does everything in its power to stay on the cutting edge of innovation and facilities.
"We want to offer our users quality optimal service in order to improve their stay in the resort. We anticipate their needs by providing them with Wi-Fi access in our ski lifts", explains Eric Bonnel, SETAM ski lift company's sales and marketing manager.
Wi-Fi is accessible every day during ski lift opening hours, from 9am to 5pm. And so that "sports geeks" don't monopolise the network, the resort limits the bandwidth per user so everyone is able to use the service in the same way.
Get connected in 30 seconds, how it works:
Activate Wi-Fi on your smartphone, then connect to the setamfreewifi Wi-Fi and accept the terms and conditions. Now you're connected!
