Fun areas and Snowparks

Snowparks and fun areas

Having fun on your skis is the essential part of a successful holiday! To ensure that everyone finds what they are looking for, Val Thorens offers initiation or improvement classes in many fun areas.

You can start with the Fun Slope, a piste suitable for the whole family for your first experience and then progress in the Easy Park for your first successful figures.

Finally, if you are at the right level, or simply what to be amazed by what you see, then head to the ultra-creative snowpark modules to watch the pros freestyle skiing and snowboarding!

Fun Slope

The Fun Slope, a funny course strewn with obstacles, has arrived for the first time in France.

Val Thorens has created a 900 metre course with more than 50 game modules using all the senses thanks to sound modules and physical interaction. Snow tunnels, bridges, spirals, banked turns - 3 minutes of action designed for skiers and snowboarders of all ages who want to have fun.

Located next to the "2 Lacs" chairlift in the centre of Val Thorens ski resort, the Fun Slope is a new experience to start out, have fun or just enjoy yourself. After just one descent it's a safe bet that you will immediately want to start all over again!

Snowpark : Crossroads of the freestyle universe

While skiing on the 3 Vallées area, come discover the Val Thorens Snowpark.
Located on the Plateaux sector, it offers to both skiers and snowboarders, the possibility to evolve, progress and improve on a freestyle course fitted to any level.

On about 70 000m², the Snowpark is made of tables (jumps), rails and boxes (sliding units) of different sizes. You will also find other modules a bit more unusual such as hips-quarter or the Jump’ Air (shock absorbing stunt man’s mattress) which will allow you to try acrobatic figures in complete safety!
You can also attend and even enrol to several contests (freestyle competitions) organised during the winter season.

And don’t forget the “not to be missed” events of this season:
- The Ski and Boarderweek
- The SFR Tour
- SlopeStyle European and French Cup
- And many more…

Don’t hesitate to consult the events program on Val Thorens website!
