Val Thorens and the French Ski School of Val Thorens with the programme « Music for Life » from the Brussels Studio and the Red Cross« Music For Life » is a Belgium radio programme from the Brussels Studio in co-operation with the Red Cross. For the sixth and last year, several animations will be organized to raise funds for a specific charity. This year the funds raised will used to fight against the first cause of child death in the world : dysentery.
The resort of Val Thorens in co-operation with the French Ski School of Val Thorens propose that you take part in a giant torchlight descent open to all (1), a "Flèche" race (giant slalom for advanced skiers) (2) and the "Haribo race" for children (3).
As from 3:30 PM, come and see us in the centre of the ski resort Place de Caron at the "Ski for Life" village: sale of torchlights for adults and electric torchlights for children, gadgets, hot chocolate and hot wine. For 1 euro you may also request a song to dedicate amongst our playlist.
In 2010, this action raised more than 5 millions euros.
