The Hotel residence l’Oxalys and its one starred Michelin restaurant, the highest in Europe, open this summer. Cookery lessons with the talented young Chef, Jean Sulpice, to discover his universe of original and subtle flavours. Go behind the scenes and see what life in a famous kitchen is like.
A choice of two lessons: « Gastronomic cuisine » and « Brunch, buffet supper cuisine ».
Gastronomy – Jean Sulpice
His 2nd Michelin star
Last March, at 31, Jean Sulpice, virtuoso Chef of the Oxalys restaurant in Val Thorens, got his 2nd Michelin star. He is one of the youngest starred chefs in France !
Jean Sulpice, happy, tells about his impressions: “This second star is very important for me, I had my heart set on it. Cuisine and gastronomy are a true passion. Coming from a family of restaurant owners, I have been in it since my childhood…I grew up glancing through my grandfather’s Michelin Guides collection. To get a Michelin star is as intense as winning an Olympic medal, and with this second star, I’m made up!”
This summer again, Jean Sulpice propose cookery lessons at the Oxalys restaurant.

Opening of the mountain restaurant « Chalet de la Marine »
Located at the top of the Adventure playground at 2500m high, the “Chalet de la Marine” opens its panoramic terrace to hikers. Discovery of a local cuisine at altitude, in a chalet atmosphere.
Open from Monday to Friday. Savoy evening every Tuesdays (booking only)

Opening of the Moutière ski lift
In order to reinforce the bike ride and pedestrian offer, the Moutière ski lift, located on the lower part of the resort, will open 5 days a week and will allow a direct access from 2050m to 2511m. He will serve a new MTB run.
Tariff : 4 € or free with the Valley Multiloisirs card.
