#Snow [Snow Report] 1st May 2014

[Snow Report] 1st May 2014

Published the 01 May 2014

Hello and welcome to Val Thorens for the 1st of May snow report. My name is Emilie, live from the Arolles slope to explain you the next day's weather forecast.

Today as you can see it's a sunny day with some clouds this afternoon. Tomorrow we should expect some snow falls all day long.

Monday and Tuesday will be sunny with some possible snow falls. To summarize snow, sun with some clouds for the next few days.

Concerning the snow height there is still plenty of snow, the entire Val Thorens/Orelle ski area is open. We have 1.90m of snow at the top of the ski area and 80cm in the resort with 5cm of fresh snow! The avalanche risk is 3 out of 5, be careful.

On the animation side Val Thorens keep entertaining you with the Apotheose Days from the 1st to the 4th May. The resort will close Sunday the 11th may and you'll be able to test the highest Tyrolienne glide in the world that stays open until the 11th of may as well.
