Resort's Residence Classification

To better inform their clients, the Tourist Office, Val Thorens Reservation and Val Thorens Tours have created a classification system, to complement the official star ( *** ) categories, one for quality and the other for service, enabling clients to choose their accommodation according to their requirements. Any changes made to the ratings during the year, for example due to renovation work, can be found on www.valthorens.com They have no legal value.

Renovation

In 2003, an « Operation of renovation of a Leisure Property » called ORIL was set up for the whole of the Belleville Valley.

This programme allows owners who accept to completely renovate their apartments, by respecting the list of specifications, to get an allowance.

In 2009, 49 owners (33 in les Menuires and 15 in Val Thorens) benefited from bonuses granted by the Saint Martin de Belleville council and the ski lifts companies (SEVABEL and SETAM).
