The first 5-star residence in Val Thorens, the Montana Plein Sud enjoys a quiet, sun-drenched location right on the ski slopes. This sumptuous Savoyard chalet conforms to all the most recent ecological and environmental regulations and features some 37 spacious apartments, withbalconies, sleeping 4 to 6 guests in each. Formerly the Corotel (built in 1974), this hotel has undergone a complete facelift for the 2011/2012 season to become a 3 star hotel. Located in the higher area of the resort, close to the ski slopes and shops, Hotel Tango boasts some 59 bedrooms, a restaurant, a buffet-grill style terrace service, a bar-lounge and spa.
The Mercure is introducing free accommodation for children up to the age of 16, when sharing a bedroom with their parents. The hotel is also offering a second “children’s” bedroom with an amazing 50% discount in conjunction with a full price room for parents. Numerous other services include the "Children’s Christmas", where half-board accommodation for children up to the age of 12 (staying in the parental room) is completely free of charge. During school holidays a children’s area with entertainers (free) will be available daily, except for Saturdays, as well as special themed weeks and a dedicated dining area for children.
At the Altapura, the Sibuet Group presents 3 different restaurants: les Enfants Terribles (mountain-style chic brasserie), la Laiterie (traditional Savoyard restaurant) and le Deux.Mille.Trois (international cuisine).
The former "El Gringo's" restaurant has had a makeover and re-opens its doors as Le Pandora. This lounge/bar and restaurant is open from 10am through to 2am and makes a superb choice for 3 main highlights of the day: a cosy lunch on the terrace, après-ski relaxation and nibbles followed by a tasty meal and a DJ from 10pm!
This year, the 3 star Le Sherpa hotel, run by Fabrice Joussot and Christophe Cotton, has been awarded a prestigious Gault & Millau chef’s hat classification. Every evening you can enjoy simple recipes based on typically French produce, adapted to suit cold winter evenings with a cosy, fireside setting.
Icy pleasures at the altapura pure altitude spa Dedicated to muscular relaxation, physical training and recovery, the 1 000 m² Pure Altitude spa offers a veritable “birch forest” ambiance. If it’s relaxation you’re looking for, the “igloo” area awaits you: after a refreshing dip in the mineral waters of the indoor/outdoor pool facing Cime Caron, enter the “Nordic spiral”, a unique experience combining dry and humid heat, interspersed with cascading shower jets and ending with an igloo style ice scrub. 
A new footpath, “Le sentier de la Marine”, has been created alongside the 3 existing routes available to walkers. Accessible via the Cascades chair lift, this magnificent 5 km long footpath enjoys a sunny outlook and boasts panoramic views of both the resort and the surrounding peaks and summits. 9 ski lifts in total are available for walkers. 
Situated "Rue Caron" at the heart of the resort, "Le Tivoli" is delighted to welcome you all day, every day. Inside you will find a warm atmosphere or you can make the most of our south facing terrasse. Charlotte and her team you a fine italien cuisine and other savoyarde specialities for lunch and dinner
