With comfort and safety for pedestrians and car drivers in mind, VAL THORENS chose to prohibit on-street parking. Now half a pedestrian resort, brief stops for unloading are authorised. Following unloading, vehicles must be driven to one of the resort's covered or open-air car parks. They will be welcomed 24h/24h by the VALTHOPARC team which looks after the 3500 parking spaces and there are free shuttle buses available.

This system of compulsory paying car parks is a necessity for resorts like VAL THORENS, which can face extreme weather conditions. But making up for the few organisational constraints that this induces, pedestrians and drivers will definitely appreciate the resulting sense of well-being that this system brings.
