Sure of the quality of its snow cover, Val Thorens allows you to book without the worrying about the lack of snow thanks to its unique « snow guarantee ».

 

Thanks to its exceptional position, Val Thorens, the highest resort in Europe, offers a ski area of which 99% is situated above an altitude of 2000 metres.

 

This is why Val Thorens has created a « snow guarantee », the first time that a resort is capable of guaranteeing one year in advance that at least 70% of it ski lifts will be open, and this over more than 4 months.

 

This offer is valid if you buy you ski pass at the same time as your accommodation through the Val Thorens Reservation Centre (00 33 7 79 00 01 06 or on http://www.valthorens.com)/, an « all inclusive » package through your accommodation provider, or through a Tour Operator whose brochure includes the « Snow Guarantee » logo.

 

And lastly, you can also benefit from this offer is you buy your ski pass only from our site http://www.valthorens.com// at least one month before the 1st day of the validity of your ski pass.

 

Conditions :

 

Val Thorens guarantees that at least 70% of the Val Thorens-Orelle ski lifts will be open between 25th December 2007 and 1st May 2008, on average during the week (from Saturday to Friday inclusive). If, due to lack of snow, less than 70% of the Val Thorens-Orelle ski lifts are open on average during a week, the Setam will issue a credit note for one day or more.

 

 

 

Between 60% and 69% of the ski lifts open (Val Thorens-Orelle ski area) → a credit note for 1 day on the Val Thorens-Orelle ski area (either valid the same week, as, for example a 7th day following on from a 6 day ski pass, or later in the season or for the following year.)

 

Between 50% and 59% of the ski lifts open (Val Thorens-Orelle ski area) → a credit note for 2 days on the Val Thorens-Orelle ski area.

 

Between 40% and 49% of the ski lifts open (Val Thorens-Orelle ski area) → a credit note for 3 days on the Val Thorens-Orelle ski area.

 

 

Less than 40 % of the ski lifts open (Val Thorens-Orelle ski area) → a credit note for 4 days on the Val Thorens-Orelle ski area.

 

This offer is also valid for the holders of a Belleville or 3 Vallées ski pass purchased in Val Thorens or in Orelle, but the credit note will only be valid for the Val Thorens-Orelle ski area.

 

 

To benefit from this offer, you should be the holder of a valid 6 day or more ski pass, and be staying in Val Thorens or in Orelle. The % used will be calculated each week on the basis of our 29 ski lifts, all serving at least one open piste (except the Orelle gondola which has no piste). If a ski lift is closed for several hours or several days due to a technical problem or bad weather conditions (wind, storm, heavy snow falls etc), this offer is not valid. The offer is also not valid for holders of free ski passes (children under 5 years old, seniors over 75 years old etc) nor for « season » passes. You should fill in a form available at all the Setam or Stor ski pass ticket offices as well as on our Internet sites (valthorens.com and neigegarantie.com). Within a delay of 15 days after your departure, you should have handed in or sent back this form, accompanied by your ski pass and proof of your stay in Val Thorens or Orelle (a copy of your accommodation voucher, or bill ...).
