How to get there?
From the Val Thorens resort, take the Cairn gondola (offered this summer) to reach the Caron gondola departure station.
Once down, you can buy your Cime Caron pass at the Caron gondola ticket office and use the toilets before the ascent.
You can then take the Caron gondola, then the Caron cable car and reach the summit in 4 minutes.
The anecdote: the Cime Caron cable car was the largest cable car in the world when it was built in 1982!
The Cime Caron Pass: timetable and prices
This pass is on sale at the ticket office of the Caron cable car.
- Adults: 22 € (20% discount with the Passeport Ascensionnel)
- Children: 17,60 € (20% discount with the Passeport Ascensionnel)
- The Cime Caron is accessible from July 4th to August 26th, Monday to Friday from 10.15am to 3.30pm
- New: every Wednesday, from 13 July to 24 August, a guide from the Belleville valley will be on hand during opening hours to show you the peaks, fauna, flora and history of Val Thorens at the top of the Cime Caron. You will also be able to ask any questions you may have! (This activity can be postponed or cancelled depending on operating and weather conditions).
