Steering, counter-steering, braking….all the techniques are tried under the watchful eye of a trained professional .
The Ice Driving Val Thorens welcomes you on the « Alain Prost’s » ice-racing track of VT:
- Altitude : 2200 m
- Length : 760 m
- Width : 10 to 12 m
- Circuit officially recognized to welcome the “Trophée Andros” races
The Ice driving Val Thorens team: The pist initiation and baptism are done under the control of several skilled pilots, all holders of the BPJEPS
Buggy initiation on ice
An SSV (Side by Side Vehicle), better known as a “buggy”, is a motorised vehicle that looks like a quad bike.
You get to experience unique sensations driving an 800cc engine buggy on ice.
The Ice Driving Val Thorens driving school provides initiation sessions on the main circuit (which hosts the Andros Trophy).
Two people can ride a buggy together.

The Val Thorens Ice Driving team welcomes you every day of the week at the track chalet.
2019/2020 winter season provisional opening times:
- December – January: 9 a.m. – 7 p.m.
- February – March: 8.15 a.m. – 8.30 p.m.
Arrival by car: P3 car park and private track car park (contact us before your arrival)
Arrival by bus: Shuttles from the centre of Val Thorens, stopping at P3 car park bus stop
