THE SKI CROSS WORLD CUP IS COMING TO VAL THORENS ON DECEMBER 12 AND 13

For the twelfth consecutive year, the Sports Club of Val Thorens organizes the Ski Cross World Cup! For this edition, improvements have been made, making it even more impressive than before.

WHAT IS SKI CROSS?

Skicross was born at the end of the 1990s in the United States, where the first Winter X Games were created.

The principle of skicross is quite simple, it consists of a race along a course made up of various natural or artificial elements such as bumps, raised curves or springboards.

Four by four, the skiers compete and race down the slope as quickly as possible. Only the first two of each descent are qualified for the next stage until the grand final!

Skicross has been an Olympic event since the 2010 Vancouver Winter Games.
