High Test by Decathlon
High Test by Decathlon is a ski and snowboard event organized by Décathlon since 2015.
The High Test by Decathlon experience is the opportunity to test the brands sold in shop (Atomic, Head, Rossignol and Salomon) free of charge and in preview.
Enjoy a colourful weekend with many activities and activities organised for the occasion.

Slopes et ski lifts open
Test village
- Test village located at Place Caron
- Castor and Pollux carpet open (access to Place Caron)
- The village is open to all, even without a pass
- Equipment tests are only available to holders of a ski pass and a test card (free on presentation of a ski pass)
- Clients must have their own ski poles and boots.
Pre-registration for the ski/snow test
The tests will only be accessible to holders of a ski pass and a test card (free on presentation of the pass). Once you have pre-registered, you can pick up your test card on site with a piece of identification. To save time, you can collect your test card the day before (Friday 26th from 5pm to 8pm) at the Val Thorens Tourist Office.
You will also have access to our activity zone, run by professionals: free initiations, ski touring area, avalanche victim search workshops (subject to snow conditions).

The High Test by Decathlon is back this year on November 26th & 27th. An exceptional 7th edition on the Val Thorens ski area to launch the winter season and test the biggest brands for free.
If for you, as for James, our product manager, winter is always too short and summer always too long: this is the opportunity to put on your skis or snowboard again! And therefore to wake up your thighs for the season.

1# Enjoy one of the most beautiful resorts in the wo
Val Thorens is the first resort to open its doors every winter, and for good reason: its village perched at an altitude of 2300m makes it the highest resort in Europe! There should be plenty to do on November 26th & 27th ;-)
2# Test all the 2022 novelties...
More like skiing or snowboarding? Piste or freeride? During 2 days, we propose you to discover and test in preview all the new products of the season. Wedze, Dreamscape, Salomon, Atomic, Rossignol, Head, ... with nearly 6 brands on test, there is something for every taste and style!
3# ... And discuss with those who designed them
The High Test is of course tests, but it is also (and above all) exchanges. After each hardware test, whether you like it or not, we offer you the opportunity to talk directly with those who worked for months on the development of these products. Real moments of exchange without filters and without headaches to share with us your impressions, your feelings, but also your desires for the products of tomorrow.
4# Perfecting your style & technique at the beginning of the season
It's time to put your toes back in your ski boots! And to prepare yourself, we propose supervised outings with the ESF, for confirmed / expert riders, in alpine, free and snow. Enough to warm up your thighs and prepare them for the season! #winterbody
5# Participate in the development of future Wedze skis
In addition to giving us your opinions on the skis already developed, participate in the development of a range of skis! For 2 days, we give you the opportunity to become a full member of the development team. During a field trip, go out into the field with our product managers and engineers, test the prototypes in accordance with the established protocol phases and share your opinions and ideas for improvement with us. Who knows, in 2 years time, it could be the ski you co-developed that will be on the shelves... ;-)
6# (Re)discover ski touring in the moonlight
In Val Thorens, when the sun goes down and the ski lifts close, it's time to get out the skins! Set off in the moonlight and the light of the headlamp for a climb to the heights of the resort to the Chalet de la Marine for a snack before attacking the descent and discover Val Thorens as you have never seen it before. Thrills and disorientation guaranteed! Please note: you must register at the ski touring stand on the day to take part in the outing.
7# Training for mountain risks
We are not teaching you anything, skiing in the mountains or off-piste remains dangerous at all times. To better understand the risks and anticipate good practices, we offer you a little reminder with our partner Recco. A way to start the season on the right foot and to be prepared for all eventualities.
8# Participate in family activities
Do you want to see something other than skis and snowboards? That's great! We invite you to test the WEDZE sleds. All day long, take part with friends or family in the contest set up by our teams. Slalom, race, rail contest, challenge of all kinds ... there will be something for everyone, for young and old alike. And at nightfall, come and discover the films VAT BOLLE by our snow athlete Enzo VALLAX & NUNATAK, a film about the trip of our ingeneer Antoine in the Canadian province of Yukon before exchanging live with the Wedze team.
9# Enjoy an après-ski made in Val Thorens
After the effort, the comfort! The expression has never been more aptly named. Happy Hour, music, tasting ... a real moment of exchange and sharing to celebrate the beginning of the season!
