Maison des guides et de la montagne de VAL THORENS (website : www.ski-tour-guide.com) is a small company of high mountain guides and snowsports and ski professionals.
We are instructors, trekking guides and mostly « UIAGM ski & mountain guides », (specialized in ski-touring, ice climbing , backcountry skiing and OFF-PISTE ) which offer to guide you and make you share their passion for mountains and skiing ! Maison des guides et de la montagne de Val Thorens, created by UIAGM mountain guides, is run by mountain guides. climbing instructors and ski teachers.
Open 365 days per year, we guide and teach from November to June in Val THORENS-3 Valleys, even all MAY & June in Val Thorens as well as on the 4000 meters peaks of Switzerland and Italy (Gran Paradiso, Monte Rosa).
After May 8th the ski resorts are closed but the snow is so good in altitude ! We enjoy TEACHING when we guide and we also do our best so as to make you improve technically. We’re here to make your holidays on the mountains be FUN !!
So we don’t only guide and care for safety on skis, at the same time we make you improve technically, as we have a high standard teaching skills.

We are able to guide and TEACH in english, spanish, portuguese, russian, french, italian, german…..
We teach ice climbing in Val Thorens from November to mid-April.
We also aim to promote ski-touring /backcountry ski all MAY and June in Val Thorens and Vanoise mountains, after the official winter season, as the ski conditions are sometimes the best at this period.
Non-exhaustive list of our ski trips : Japan, Norway, Greenland, Russia (Caucasus & Kamtchatka), Kyrgyztan, Spitzberg, Alaska, Canada, Antartica, Chile, Argentina, Iran, Turkey, Georgia ... and also ski-safari weeks in Savoie, Italia, Switzerland and Austria during shoulder-season.
We propose as well heliski in Italia and Russia (Caucasus & Kamtchatka).
