New Year festivities

Come and celebrate the New Year in the friendly, joyful atmosphere of Val Thorens! There’s plenty of entertainment to see in the New Year in the right way.

Sunday 25th December

• 3pm - 7pm: Christmas Village. The Christmas village takes over the roof of the Centre Sportif - Le Board and welcomes you in a warm and family atmosphere to make you experience the magic of Christmas.
  • 3pm: Opening of the Christmas Village
  • 3pm - 5pm: Father Christmas makes a stop in Val Thorens, come and take a picture with him
  • 3pm - 7pm: You can go down the slope with your Snooc (a sledge with a ski) on the Snooczone (paying activity)
  • 3pm - 7pm: Inside a giant bubble, travel the circuit in a minimum of time (paying activity)
  • 3pm - 7pm: Sale of hot chestnuts and mulled wine
  • 18h45 : Mapping show to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the resort
  • 19h : Closing of the Christmas Village

Monday 26th December

• 10am - 6pm: Christmas Escape Game. Take part in the Christmas Escape Game with your family throughout the day.

• 10am - 6pm: Escape Game. Live an adventure halfway between the history of Val Thorens and the Canadian Great North. This escape game will take you on the slopes of Val Thorens but also in the resort.

Thursday 29th December

• 11am: Children's workshop. A manual and playful activity proposed by the Tourist Office which allows children to discover, decorate and recycle while having fun.
  • Location: Maison de Val Thorens (Tourist Office)
  • Free registration at the Tourist Office before Wednesday 5pm
  • 4 children minimum and 8 maximum
  • From 3 to 6 years old. A parent must be present
  • Duration: about 1 hour
• 2.30 pm - 4.30 pm: Mölkky tournament at the Val Thorens Club! The Val Tho Club invites you to participate in a Mölkky tournament on Thursday afternoons on the Club House terrace.

  • Free of charge, on registration directly at the Club House

• 6pm: Children's show - Chris Torrente. Like the visual act, Symfolie and his other shows, the one man show "Chris de rire!" combines comedy and magic. His motto: to entertain and amaze you. The audience laughs as much as it is stunned.

Friday 30th December

• From 6pm: Torchlight descent by the instructors. Come and watch the ESF instructors' torchlight descent from the roof of the Centre Sportif - Le Board. As a bonus, you will be entitled to a free hot drink: hot chocolate or mountain herbal tea!

Saturday 31st December

• From 10pm: New Year's Eve festivities. Come and celebrate the New Year with us! On the programme: live concert, mapping show to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the resort.

  • Attention, the number of places on the Board is limited
  • Access forbidden to people with an alcoholic drink
• 00h: New Year's Eve fireworks. Admire our magnificent fireworks display as you see in the New Year!
   

During the whole week, a Christmas fresco is to be coloured by the children on the Christmas Village. The fresco is a work of art designed by Ju de Bug.
