Be zen and get some height

All season long, Val Thorens and Les 3 Vallées offer you the largest open ski area in Europe.

Conditions of use

If a ski area offers you a greater number of open linked pistes, SETAM and STOR undertake to reimburse you for any day not used during the validity of your ski pass. This guarantee applies to every day of the season that the ski area is open:

  • From 02/12/23 to 21/04/24 for 3 Vallées packages
  • From 25/11/23 to 01/12/23 and from 22/04/24 to 05/05/24 for Val Thorens-Orelle packages

This guarantee applies to packages of 6 days or more (excluding season, 3 Vallées Liberté and pedestrian packages):

  • Bought on the internet
  • Purchased as an all-inclusive package from your resort's Central Reservations Office
  • Purchased from your host
  • Purchased from a tour operator offering this deal in its brochure or on its website

Good to know: during the opening dates of the 3 Vallées ski area, only holders of 3 Vallées ski passes benefit from this offer. At the beginning and end of the season, outside the 3 Vallées opening period, the offer will be valid on the Val Thorens-Orelle ski pass.

If a single European ski area offers a greater number of open linked pistes, SETAM and STOR undertake to reimburse you in the form of a credit note for any day not used during the period of validity of your ski pass. Refunds can only be made for the unused day(s) during which another European ski area can claim a greater number of open linked pistes than the 3 Vallées or Val Thorens-Orelle ski areas at the beginning and end of the season.

Proof of a better opening elsewhere must be verifiable and produced by the customer.

Only pistes closed due to a lack of snow will be counted: closures due to bad weather, technical breakdowns or for safety reasons (triggering of avalanches, glacial crevasses, etc.) cannot be invoked for the implementation of the guarantee. A piste is said to be linked when it communicates directly or via a ski lift with another piste, the whole forming a linked whole.

A day used is considered to be any day on which at least one lift was used. This information is checked against your lift pass.

How to benefit from the guarantee

Please return your pass, proof of purchase and proof of a better opening elsewhere within two months of the end of your stay to the SETAM or STOR ticket offices, or by post to SETAM - ticketing service - F-73440 VAL THORENSor STOR - Télécabine Station - F-73140 ORELLE - who will reimburse you for any unused days.

Refunds will be made in the form of a credit note to the value of the unused days pro rata temporis, within 4 months of receipt of the items. The credit note can be used for the current season and the following one.
