More than a promise: a reality
The higher it is, the snowier it is
Val Thorens can guarantee snow from November to May!
Certain of the quality of its snow cover, Val Thorens offers you to book without fear of lack of snow thanks to the implementation of a unique “guaranteed snow”.
Thanks to its exceptional location, Val Thorens, the highest resort in Europe, offers a ski area located 99% above 2000 meters above sea level.
The latter is equipped with modern infrastructure allowing it to be artificially snowed over nearly 40% of its surface…
Be zen and gain height
Val Thorens and Les 3 Vallées guarantee you the largest area of open linked slopes in Europe all season long.
Conditions of application
If a ski area offers you a greater number of open connected slopes, SETAM and STOR undertake to reimburse you for any unused day during the validity of your ski pass. This guarantee applies every day of the ski area's opening season:
- Du December 7, 2024 to April 21, 2025 for the 3 Valleys packages
- Du November 23 to December 6, 2024 and April 22 to May 4, 2025 for packages Val Thorens-Orella
This guarantee concerns packages for stays of 6 days or more (excluding season packages, 3 Vallées Liberté, pedestrians):
- Purchased online
- Purchased as an all-inclusive package from your resort’s reservation center
- Purchased from your host
- Purchased from a tour operator offering this offer on its brochure or website
Good to know: During the opening dates of the 3 Vallées ski area, only 3 Vallées pass holders benefit from this offer. At the start and end of the season, outside the opening period of the 3 Valleys, the offer will be valid on the package Val Thorens-Orella.
If a single European ski area offers a greater number of open linked slopes, SETAM and STOR undertake to reimburse you in the form of a credit for any unused day during the validity of your ski pass. Reimbursement can only be made for the unused day(s) during which another European ski area could claim a greater number of connected slopes open than the 3 Valleys ski area, or Val Thorens-Orelle at the beginning and end of the season.
Proof of better opening elsewhere must be verifiable and produced by the client.
Only slopes closed due to a lack of snow will be counted: closures due to bad weather, technical breakdowns or for safety reasons (triggering of avalanches, glacial crevasses, etc.) cannot be invoked for the implementation of the guarantee. A slope is said to be connected when it communicates directly or via a ski lift with another slope, the whole forming a connected whole.
Any day with use of at least one ski lift is considered a used day. This data is verified from your package.
How to benefit from the guarantee
Please return your package, its proof of purchase and the supporting documents proving a better opening elsewhere within two months following the end of your stay at the SETAM or STOR counters, or by mail to SETAM – ticketing service – F-73440 VAL THORENS, or STOR – Cable car station – F-73140 ORELLE – which will reimburse you for unused days.
The refund will be made in the form of a credit with a value corresponding to the pro rata temporis of the unused days, within 4 months following receipt of the parts. The credit will be usable for the current season and the following.
