Two new ski touring trails Val Thorens
The two new ski touring trails, in partnership with Salomon, are linked in the form of two sections: Petite Sud and Grande Sud. These two trails have been open since the beginning of January 2024.
Good to know: Like the ski slopes, these two ski touring slopes are accessible and secure only during ski lift opening hours. Outside of these times, damage and avalanche triggering may occur.
Little South
- Length: 1,8 kilometers

- Length: 2,03 kilometers

Itinerary of the two ski touring trails
The Petite Sud trail starts in the Balcons district at the Les Balcons Platinium residence in Val Thorens and the Grande Sud trail arrives at the Chardons red trail picnic area.

From the Service des Pistes building, rue du Soleil, several pedestrian routes are accessible for ski touring, only for the climb :
- The 2 Lakes trail: 2,1km, departure from the Cosmojet chalet at the slopes roundabout
- The La Moutière trail: 6,1km, departure from the Cosmojet chalet at the piste roundabout
- The Montagnette trail: 2km, departure from the Balcons district
