To help pedestrians and mountain bikers discover the great outdoors, ski lifts operate throughout the summer. They allow you to quickly and effortlessly reach the main peaks of the valley, to enjoy the high altitude trails and even to hike in the vast 3 Valleys area, using the network of open ski lifts.

Where to buy my pedestrian or mountain bike pass at Val Thorens

You can buy your pedestrian or mountain bike pass at the point of sale located at the start of the Pionniers chairlift, at the bottom of Place Caron.

All customers (including customers with Ascension Passport) must go to the Pionniers chairlift sales point before accessing a ski lift to obtain a pass.

Ski lifts open to Val Thorens

À Val Thorens, the ski lifts are open from Monday to Friday from July 08 to August 30.

As the Moutière, 2 Lacs and Cime Caron sectors are under construction, only 2 ski lifts are open this summer.

The Pionniers chairlift

The chairlift is open Monday to Friday from 10h to 16h.

It has bicycle racks and is not accessible to animals.

The Funitel 3 Vallées

The Funitel 3 Vallées is open from Monday to Friday 10 p.m. to 15 p.m.

Bicycles can be placed directly inside the Funitel.

This ski lift is not accessible to animals.

Pratical information

Children under 3 years old are not allowed on the ski lifts.

The ticket office is located at the start of the Pionniers chairlift, at the bottom of Place Caron.

By taking the Pionniers chairlift then the Funitel 3 Vallées, you can access the summit of the Col de la Chambre at 2850m altitude and admire the Montblanc and the surrounding peaks.

At the top of the Funitel 3 Vallées, you will find picnic tables as well as deckchairs to enjoy the view.
