Family and children's ski passes

At Val Thorens, children are spoilt for choice: the ski pass is free for children under 5! They can be collected from the lift ticket offices, along with proof of date of birth and a recent passport photo.

Children's packages

Child rates apply to children aged 5 to 12 in the Val Thorens-Orelle and 3 Vallées ski areas. Whether you want to buy a 4-hour, 1-day or 6-day ski pass, you'll find all the information and prices on our page dedicated to children. ski passes.

Family pass

With the Family Pass, everyone pays the child rate! The offer is valid for 6 to 21-day passes and is perfect for families of at least 4 people (2 adults and at least 2 children aged 5 to 17). More information and prices on the 6-day packages.

For beginners, there are 2 free areas where you can learn to ski with complete peace of mind:

  • On the Milky Way track next to the Castor and Pollux carpets
  • On the frog track next to the Shrew and Vole mats
     

Once launched, a beginner package EasyRider dedicated 4h or 1 day at 50% of the public price will allow you to start exploring the Val Thorens ski area!

Fun areas in the ski area

The fun areas of Val Thorens are the ideal spots for family riding. These recently refurbished areas will allow children and beginners to progress while having fun! At Val Tho, a lunar land par excellence, budding skiers go into orbit to discover space, the cosmos and the moon.

Learn to ski with the Wingjump kite

Designed like a parachute wing, the Wingjump is worn like a cape attached to the poles. It inflates with speed, giving skiers a light, safe glide.

A real innovation for learning to ski, and in particular for pole placement!

ESF torchlit descents - 1st star level


Just like the grown-ups, the children can also take part in the torchlight parade! Bonus: distribution of HARIBO sweets.

Bookings with the ESFat the Maison de Val Thorens (Tourist Office). Place: Place Caron. Duration: 45 min.

Cosmojet toboggan run - From 5 years old accompanied by an adult

The famous toboggan run has been completely redesigned around the theme of the universe. Tobogganers are invited to set off in search of a new land along a 6km route full of surprises!

La Piste aux Étoiles - Toboggan run

Thanks to the Castor and Pollux carpet, which is available free of charge, you can go up the slope as many times as you like to race down the track reserved for sledges! First accompanied by mum or dad, then on your own like a grown-up, it's a sure bet that your toddler will be back for more!

Accessible from Place Caron. The toboggan run is safe but unsupervised.
