It's time to taste the pleasures of snow!
It is from the age of 3 that the youngest can start using spatulas on their feet for the first time. To do this, suitable structures are set up in the resort's various ski schools, so that children can make their first descents in complete safety and peace of mind!
Are your little ones not really into skiing, but really want to do other activities? From sledding to swimming, there are many other opportunities for family fun: the hardest part will be choosing!
Find below a selection of activities especially for little ones aged 3 to 6 years old.
Kindergartens of Val Thorens – From 3 years old
- Little Bear (Prosneige ski school)
The “little bears” are in groups of 6 children and learn to slide with a smile in the garden. Small groups are then formed so that they go out on the slopes. The school has everything planned to make your life easier, you can rent the equipment on site and what's more, the little ones have the right to leave it in the evening! - Jardin du Montana or Roc de Péclet (French ski school)
Your children will have their first snow sports experiences with Sifflote the marmot and Piou Piou the chick in the gardens of Montana or Roc de Péclet. The piou piou club will allow the little ones to experience skiing (around 1 hour per half day) in a gentle way and to participate in various activities indoors the rest of the time! To make life easier for parents, the nursery canteen welcomes children at lunchtime!

- Yeti Park Gardens (Evolution 2)
Children are welcomed at Yéti Park where they play in complete safety and fun. They will experience their first sensations of sliding through educational games supervised by instructors. The 8 children in the group will discover unique experiences.

The ESF Kids Club – From 3 to 5 years old
A whole day of skiing for your children may go a long way for their first days in the mountains! In order to free up parents for half a day, the ESF set up the Kids Club during the school holidays, an outdoor snow center.
Mini Riders – Snowboard lessons – From 4 years old
Prosneige supports the first steps towards snowboarding with the help of an instructor. Parents must accompany children.
Play areas on the ski area
The fun spaces of Val Thorens are the ideal spots for riding with the family. These places, redeveloped this season, will allow children/beginners to progress while having fun! In Val Tho, the lunar land par excellence, budding skiers go into orbit to discover space, the cosmos and the moon.
Sled dogs – From 2 years old
During a sleigh ride pulled by the dogs, enjoy contact with the animals and the beauty of the landscape to relax. Did you know that proximity to animals has been proven to relax children? Accessible from 2 years old accompanied by parents.
The ice rink – From 3 years old
The ice rink Val Thorens welcomes young and old to Place Péclet (at the top of the station) to discover the joys of a new form of skiing Val Thorens. And on totally natural ice cream !
The Ice Rink offers, in a warm atmosphere, punctuated by a play of sound and light, more than 400m2 of freedom space skates on your feet.
The Cosmojet toboggan run – From 5 years old accompanied by an adult
The famous toboggan run is entirely based on the theme of the universe. Sledders are invited to set off in search of a new land along a 6 km course full of fun surprises, punctuated with scientific data to learn while having fun!
La Piste aux Etoiles – Toboggan run
Thanks to the Castor and Pollux carpet, accessible free of charge, go up the slope as many times as you want to hurtle down the track reserved for sleds! First accompanied by mom or dad, then alone like a grown-up, it's a safe bet that your toddler will ask for more!
Track accessible from Place Caron. The toboggan run is secure but unsupervised.
Space games – Children’s play area – From 2 to 6 years old
At the heart of the resort, on Place Caron, a play area has been set up to introduce the little ones to the pleasures of skiing!
Not far from the older toboggan run (The Star Trail), the playground is equipped with two slides as well as fun modules.
Snowtubing – Moon Xperience – From 5 years old
Discover snowtubing with friends or family! Embark on giant buoys and hurtle down the 2 slopes specially designed for snowtubing. Once at the bottom of the slope, the climb is done with the Campagnols mat.
The Fun Park – Spaces suitable for all ages
Depending on their age, children will enjoy different areas: motor skills and discovery area with modules, secure course in a structure with slides and ball pool, large games station with slides, cylinders, monkey bridges and many other activities to discover without delay !
Cinema – Films for all ages
The Lac Blanc cinema welcomes you to the center of the resort. Val Thorens for two sessions per day. Additional session early in the afternoon in case of bad weather.
Bowling – From 4 years old
Located on Place de l'Arche, Le Bowling welcomes you every day of the season. In a setting worthy of a real mountain chalet, you will have the choice among the many activities available: bowling, billiards, games and sports matches.
Bowling has 8 tracks equipped with automatic barriers. The little ones can play independently from 4-5 years old.
Baby swimming pool, aquatic garden and Aquati'Kids sessions – From 6 months
Like a fish in water, your child has a great time jumping from mat to floating mat, clinging to fries or other colorful objects. The objective is to learn to control your breathing and promote awareness and coordination of movements. Advance reservation recommended.
Children's shows
During school holidays, young and old alike are invited to go see every Thursday evening from 18 h a clownish, poetic, storytelling show… A festive, moving and unifying moment!

From 3 to 6 years old, the Tourist Office offers manual and fun activities adapted to little hands! These workshops will allow children to discover, decorate and recycle while having fun!
