At 12 years old, we already do almost everything like adults! Whether it's learning to slide, trying snowboarding, improving your skills and starting to master the bumps in the snow park, the resort's ski school instructors will be there to support your teenager in whatever they want. A multitude of other activities are also offered to teenagers: discovery, thrills, surpassing oneself or relaxation, you are spoiled for choice!
Find below a selection of activities for young adventurers:
The Cosmojet toboggan run – From 5 years old accompanied by an adult
The famous toboggan run is entirely based on the theme of the universe. Sledders are invited to set off in search of a new land along a 6 km course full of fun surprises, punctuated with scientific data to learn while having fun!
The ice rink – From 3 years old
The ice rink Val Thorens welcomes young and old to Place Péclet (at the top of the station) to discover the joys of a new form of skiing Val Thorens. And on totally natural ice cream !
The Ice Rink offers, in a warm atmosphere, punctuated by a play of sound and light, more than 400m2 of freedom space skates on your feet.
Ski Patrol Experience – Ages 6 to 14
Children aged 6 to 14 now have the opportunity to discover mountain careers thanks to the Ski Patrol Experience! 4 workshops that are both educational and fun are offered and supervised by a professional.
On the program for the 4 workshops: grooming with mini snow groomer, signage and skier rules, mini snowmobile and rescue with stretcher and towing. The activity lasts on average 1h30.
Sled dogs – From 2 years old
During a sleigh ride pulled by the dogs, enjoy contact with the animals and the beauty of the landscape to relax. Did you know that proximity to animals has been proven to relax children? Accessible from 2 years old accompanied by parents.
Snowtubing – Moon Xperience – From 5 years old
Discover snowtubing with friends or family! Embark on giant buoys and hurtle down the 2 slopes specially designed for snowtubing. Once at the bottom of the slope, the climb is done with the Campagnols mat. Activity accessible from 5 years old.
Snow groomer ride – From 6 years old
Accompanied by parents, children will be able to enjoy a 2-hour snow groomer ride towards a refuge or a restaurant. Track maintenance, grooming, triggering avalanches, marking out will no longer hold any secrets for them. The 2-hour walk includes a Savoyard aperitif break.
Ice Karting – From 7 years old
A fun and playful activity to do with friends or family, ideal for introducing yourself to the first sensations of sliding on small karts specially equipped for snow. Duration: 20 minutes
Play areas on the ski area
The fun spaces of Val Thorens are the ideal spots for riding with the family. These places, redeveloped this season, will allow children/beginners to progress while having fun! In Val Tho, the lunar land par excellence, budding skiers go into orbit to discover space, the cosmos and the moon.
The Sports and leisure area of the Sports Center – Le Board
Basketball, badminton, table tennis, volleyball, squash, find all these sports in the Arena! Tournaments are organized throughout the week, the program is available at the reception of the Sports Center – Le Board.
Ice climbing
For a moment of discovery and thrills, try the ice waterfall with your family ! Accompanied by professionals who will teach parents and children how to use ice axes and crampons in complete safety, set off to attack the ice waterfall in Val Thorens.
Cinema – Films for all ages
The Lac Blanc cinema welcomes you to the center of the resort. Val Thorens for two sessions per day at 18 p.m. and 21 p.m. Additional session at 14:30 p.m. in case of bad weather.
Bowling – From 4 years old
Located on Place de l'Arche, Le Bowling welcomes you every day of the season from 14 p.m. to 2 a.m. In a setting worthy of a real mountain chalet, you will have the choice among the many activities available: bowling, billiards, games and sports matches.
Bowling has 8 tracks equipped with automatic barriers. The little ones can play independently from 4-5 years old.
The Bouchet Tyrolienne – From 8 years old
From Orelle to Val Thorens, suspended from a steel cable, children will transform into a bird of prey for a flight of up to 100 km/h!
Access reserved for skiers via the Bouchet chairlift, in the Orelle ski area.
Electric mountain bike – From 1.40 m
The instructors from the Evolution 2 ski school will accompany adults and children for a discovery outing on the mountaintte trail at Val Thorens. The activity can be practiced in a group or in a private lesson.
Teen Swimming pool sessions – From 8 years old
Perfect lessons for your teenager to improve their swimming practice. Diving, crawl, breaststroke and other strokes will no longer hold any secrets for him! Advance reservation recommended.
Snow Trike – From 4 years old
To discover the ski area of Val Thorens and the Belleville valley seen from the sky! The Snow Trike is like a paramotor and allows you to admire the view while sitting comfortably. This activity is accessible to everyone: pedestrians, snowboarders, skiers, disabled passengers.
The Snake Gliss – From 8 years old
The Snake Gliss, these are individual sleds assembled together (up to 10 sleds per snake), which are piloted by an activity professional. On the program, 45 minutes of descent from the top of the Funitel de Péclet, varying meanders and detours to the delight of passengers. Giggles are guaranteed!
