As you walk through the Vallée des Belleville, you'll come across many herds of cattle grazing in the mountain pastures, and you'll be able to taste the traditional cheeses (tommes, séracs) made on the spot.

Chez Pépé Nicolas mountain chalet

Le Alpine Chalet "Chez Pépé Nicolaslocated between Les Menuires and Val Thorens, at the start of the Lac du Lou walk, offers you the chance to watch goats and cows being milked.

Throughout the day, you can familiarise yourself with the farm animals (goats, cows, pigs, ducks, chickens, donkeys, trout, rabbits, etc.), ask questions and enjoy the warm atmosphere of the mountain pastures. The chalet is open every day from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.. Hand-milking of goats from 3.30pm and milking of cows afterwards. Catering available on site.

Not to be missed: The permaculture garden. Over an area of 2,000 m2, you'll be able to see a multitude of vegetables, aromatic plants, edible flowers and more.
