During your walks in the Belleville Valley, you will encounter numerous herds raised in mountain pastures and will be able to taste the traditional cheeses (tommes, seracs) made on site.
The alpine chalet Chez Pépé Nicolas
Le Alpine Chalet “Chez Pépé Nicolas” is located between Menuires and Val Thorens, at the start of the Lac du Lou walk. He offers you, reservation, to witness the milking of goats and cows.
Throughout the day, you can familiarize yourself with the farm animals (goats, cows, pigs, ducks, chickens, donkeys, trout, rabbits, etc.), ask your questions and enjoy the warm atmosphere of the mountain pasture. The chalet is open every day from 8 a.m. to 22 p.m.. Milking goats by hand (by reservation) from 15:15 p.m. and then milking cows. Food available on site.
Not to miss : the 2000 m2 permaculture garden. You will be able to see a multitude of vegetables, aromatic plants, edible flowers, etc.
