Driving on ice in Savoie: between sliding and speed…

The whole Ice Driving team Val Thorens welcomes you to the Alain PROST Ice Circuit at Val Thorens. The opportunity to discover the highest circuit in Europe and perfect your automatisms when driving on ice in Savoie.

Private lessons, training courses, free rides as well as baptisms with professional pilots are offered to you during the winter season.

Want to make your driving safer in winter?

This is about being able to benefit from instruction dedicated to your safety when driving. Natural ice allows you to understand and perfect your experience to better master the road on a daily basis.

The different teaching modules: fundamentals, braking experience, avoidance experience, how to get out of an emergency situation, are carried out with 2-wheel drive vehicles. You are accompanied by your BPJEPS qualified instructor.

Activities are accessible from 16 years old.

Hungry for thrills?

Used for over 30 years by car drivers as part of Andros Trophy, the ice circuit offers real possibilities for sliding and driving. Take the wheel for yourself!

  • Flight school (4 modules)
  • Private lesson from 20 minutes, you are accompanied by an instructor for individualized coaching, in 2 or 4 wheel drive
  • Driving experience: take the passenger seat and enjoy a series of 5 tours aboard a Subaru Impreza

Discovery of the ice buggy

The SSV (Side by Side Vehicle), better known as a “buggy” is a motorized vehicle that resembles a quad.
With its 570 cc engine, the buggy offers unique driving sensations on ice.

Ice Driving driving school Val Thorens offers discovery sessions on the big circuit (the one which hosts the Andros Trophy).

Possibility of riding two people on the buggies.

The Ice Driving team Val Thorens welcomes you every day to the Chalet du Circuit.

Access

  • Car access: Parking P3 and private parking for the circuit (contact us beforehand)
  • Bus access: free shuttles P3/P4 from the center of Val Thorens, parking stop P3
  • Private shuttle access: contact us beforehand
  • Ski access: the circuit is located opposite the departure station of the Plein Sud chairlift
  • Access on foot: you can also go to the ice circuit on foot (see resort map)
